Access from Nairobi
Current official information uses Olare Orok Airstrip for many arrivals, followed by a camp transfer. We confirm the operating flight, luggage allowance and transfer at the time of booking. Light aircraft generally depart Nairobi from Wilson Airport, not the international terminal, so international connections need realistic transfer time.
Road access can be included in a longer private Kenyan journey, but it is a full travel day. We compare the cost of flying with the value of an additional safari afternoon rather than looking at the ticket in isolation.
How it combines
For contrast, combine Mahali Mzuri with the Mara Triangle, Angama on the escarpment or a very small classic camp in another conservancy. It also pairs well with Ol Pejeta or Mount Kenya.
