This is the South Coast’s definitive marine day, but it is often sold too casually. From Diani, the journey first travels south by road to Shimoni, then continues by boat into the Kisite-Mpunguti marine protected area. The reward is a full change of landscape: open channel, coral water and island life.
The day is designed around conditions rather than a wildlife promise. Dolphins may be encountered but are not chased or guaranteed. Snorkelling is guided and adjusted for confidence, current and visibility.

Day-by-day itinerary
Day 1 — Diani – Shimoni – Kisite-Mpunguti – Wasini
Depart early by private road transfer to Shimoni. After the crew’s safety briefing, travel by boat towards Kisite when sea conditions permit. Snorkel with guidance over suitable coral habitat, then continue to Wasini for lunch and time ashore before returning by boat and road. The exact order responds to tide and weather.
